Accepting orders for Holiday Wreaths! Fresh Holiday Wreaths, Garlands and Centerpieces from Sherwood Forest Farms
One of our club’s annual traditions is selling fresh holiday evergreens as our fall fundraiser.
We participate in a direct delivery program with an environmentally-friendly company located in northwest Washington, Sherwood Forest Farms. The wreaths, garlands and centerpieces are made from boughs that need to be pruned.
The Phoenix Alumnae Club looks forward to another successful sale this year! Funds raised are used for many club activities including programming and support of our local philanthropies.
The company’s direct delivery program permits you to order a fresh greenery gift for delivery directly to the designated recipient, accompanied by a personal message on the shipping label. What an easy way to send a holiday surprise to friends and family across town or across the country!
Gift items arrive at the recipient’s address within the first two weeks after Thanksgiving. Greenery can be shipped anywhere within the contiguous 48 states; sorry, no shipments to Alaska or Hawaii.
This year it is easier than ever to place an order. You can complete your entire shopping transaction, including paying with a credit card, online this year using the link below:
Although, there is a limit of 3 items per order, you can place as many orders as you like. AND – you need neither manually complete a form nor mail a check!
Our sale begins now! The last day to place your order is November 10, 2013.
Thank you for your support!

Pi Beta Phi Premier Club 2012 Award Winner!!!
Constance Dillon, Communications Coordinator for The Arrow, wrote a wonderful correspondence regarding Phoenix Alumnae Club recent honor, the Premier Club Award. Thank you, Constance!
Local Women’s Group Wins
Prestigious Award
PHOENIX – July 17, 2013 – The Phoenix Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi® recently received the Fraternity’s
highest and most prestigious honor, the Premier Club Award. Pi Beta Phi alumnae
clubs promote and support Fraternity philanthropic endeavors, assist collegiate
chapters and offer friendship to new graduates and alumnae. One club, among more than 300, is chosen each year as a
representative of performance that is exemplary above all others.
The
Phoenix Alumnae Club consistently improves its programs and events to provide
engaging, fun opportunities for its members, many of whom are working and
volunteering full time. The Club supports three major literacy projects: it
donated 600 books and 60 bookcases to homes completed by Central Arizona
Habitat for Humanity; it supported UMOM Day Centers with donations of sporting
equipment, canned goods, books, games and toys; and it partnered with the
Arizona Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at Arizona State University to host a
Champions are Readers® reading enrichment program in a local third-grade classroom.
“The
Phoenix Alumnae Club has a large impact in its local community and provides
friendship and leadership opportunities for hundreds of Pi Phis in the Phoenix
area,” said Pi Beta Phi President Mary Tatum. “The club continues to grow and
its philanthropic service and communication efforts have been extraordinary
over the last year. We congratulate the club on all its hard work and its constant
support of the Fraternity at large.”
In addition
to the Premier Club Award, the Phoenix Alumnae Club received an Excellence in
Communication Award in honor of its newsletters, emails and social media
communications with Phoenix area Pi Phi alumnae. The Phoenix Club was chartered
in 1926.

Phoenix Panhellenic Association Outreach Event
The Outreach Committee
would like three women to share their Greek experience at the afternoon
Outreach Event on April 7. Three women would speak about
their sorority experience and how it has impacted their lives. The five minute
testimony of each women representing a different age group: recent college graduate
(20 - 30 years old), established career woman (40-50 years old), and retired
sister (60+ years old) would allow the attendees to connect with the
different life stages of Greek life. Please pass this email along to your
individual chapters. Interested individuals email me at aimee.e.nelson@gmail.com.
I am looking forward to getting to know some of our Panhellenic women and their "Go Greek" stories!
Thank you,
Aimee Nelson
CAR Program Explained
Champions are Readers
(CAR) Program
Pi Beta Phi's unique program, Champions are Readers (CAR) is a month long reading program for third-grad elementary students. CAR was designed to encourage students to develop daily reading habits and to provide Fraternity
members with an easy-to-implement program encouraging literacy.
For our local CAR
program, the Phoenix Alumnae Club purchased leveled books for readers
from Ohio State University. Third graders at Creighton Elementary will receive a new book each session to read with an alumnae club volunteer or Arizona Beta collegiate. By the end of the program, each student will have eight books to add to his/her home library. In addition, the alumnae club is providing each student with a special book bag, and a writing journal.
Won't you consider getting involved in the important community outreach program?
